notes from meeting-stuff to do

-Double sided printed origami

reword taboos?
-What to do in the inside
-taboo on the outside
-icons- represent taboo?

-Japanese style table-wood?--materials
-Cushions

-paper square- shows where to put origami back

-etiquette booklet/brochure
-food brochure

-origami text
-develop logo further

----tone down the black colour for calligraphy- grey-black or vary tone
--try out different paper stock for the brochure thing
--buy wood for table-> make table
---change font to futura
----if we use numbers we could look at helvetica numbers
-illustrations for the tableware-- sumi-e style

tried putting text on bowls and cups as discussed- having trouble getting the text in the right spot
-might need help to reword text

-There is a problem that the food obscuring the text.
-Instead of text I could try making icons instead?

just playing around with composition. will add the colours and illustrations (if you can perhaps draw some?) once i have a layout going! :D I don't know what to have for the 2 bottom title? (Also will get the title confirmed tomorrow)

-A suggestion: Instead of chopsticks it could come under the category of cleanliness or purity (some shinto relation)
-Not sure if kanji is correct so might need changing
-And also probably stick to upper and lower case to follow the food brochure
-Haven't finished making the titles yet, will try finish them tomorrow when you confirm the titles

or
-instead of having a second set of titles we could just have an illustration of the shinto dragon

----
trying laying out some of the tableware origami that i had:

-I think it will look cooler when we have the different coloured tableware.

-the ideal size of the table area would be around 840 x 840 mm
-I used 2 A1 pieces of paper but to make a square it would be slightly smaller than two A1.

-For the place markings of tableware we could either
print the place markings on a A0 square

or

print a set of stickers that we could stick onto the wooden table (might be easier to place the markings in right spots than first option).

but yeah not sure at the moment. What do you reckon?

-Also, probably need the text layed out so the bowls dont obscure it aswell.
-numbers would somehow link to the small etiquette book in the brochure.
-might not be enough room for tips?

-probably need to test tomorrow some double sided printing on bowls, cups etc. If we are still putting anything on them?
-Otherwise maybe we could just look at buying coloured paper instead of printing on them?

sizes of origami

-forgot napkins x4 (12x12cm)

table layout (rough small draft)

Feedback: making the titles more dynamic. The initial mockup had a "corporate" feel to it, which doesn't work well with our audience. Even adding some illustrations to the photo will make it more engaging for the students.
